Claiming the Change
Hello Friends. Today I asked you to ask yourself, what makes who you are now, different from who you were?
I hope you take the time this month to answer that question for yourself.
If you’re interested, here is my personal answer: There isn’t a clear moment when this change occurred, but after reflecting I came to the realization that I believe in practicing all things. Doesn’t matter how small the “thing” is, could be meal prepping, could be potty training my son, could be a morning routine. I now know without a doubt-that means with absolute certainty-how necessary it is that I practice before I expect myself to get it right.
“Write a million words–the absolute best you can write, then throw it all away and bravely turn your back on what you have written. At that point, you’re ready to begin.” David Eddings
This quote says it all. How my change of mindset has manifested in reality is, I’ve now done a complete 180 on how I prepare for things. For example, I’m thinking of starting my YouTube channel where I’ll showcase my workouts and connect with others on a fitness journey. Instead of jumping right in, I’m practicing, creating content with no intention to post it. I’m showing up for myself time and time again with no due date for praise and recognition from others. I understand how valuable it is to practice my craft before I can truly be a tool and help those on a similar path. This is how I’m different than who I was, thanks for reading! :)
